Dale Honn
Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board

Dale Honn has over 40 years experience in the pipeline industry and founded Energy Management & Services Co. in 1989.  He has worked in every sector of the pipeline industry from conceptual planning and feasibility studies through design, construction, operations and maintenance, and start-up. 


He has been involved with all aspects of field activities including survey, right-of-way acquisition, construction supervision, and inspection.  He has executed projects for pipelines, gathering systems, distribution systems, compressor stations, measurement facilities, regulating stations, dehydration facilities and cathodic protection installations.  He has held numerous management positions with natural gas design and operating firms, and has also served as expert witness for both plaintiffs and defendants.  Dale is a registered professional engineer in over 20 states and is a registered Land Surveyor in Kentucky.  Dale received a B.S.in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. 

Mary Smith
Chief Administrative Officer

Mary Smith has over 20 years experience in office and business administration, and has been with EMS since its beginning in 1989. Her experience includes office and corporate management for operations and services companies in the natural gas industry. She has held various positions in companies in all functions of accounting and payroll, financial planning and reporting, client relationship management, human resources management and benefit programs, contract administration, and safety programs. She has significant experience with implementation and management of enterprise database software systems.

   

Dave Barone
Chief Operating Officer



Dave Barone was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2008. He has over 25 years of corporate management experience including senior level sales and executive management positions with a demonstrated record of sales and management achievements, leading teams of diverse professionals to successful results. He has also served as management consultant, providing a broad range of expertise in strategic planning, sales force management, marketing, budgeting, sales operations, meeting facilitation, and organizational development to many different corporations. Dave served in the U.S. Air Force and received a B.S. in Business Administration - Marketing, from West Virginia University.

   

Doug Ward
Vice President, Technical Services

Doug Ward was appointed Vice President, Technical Services in March 2009. He has over 21 years experience in the oil and gas industry, including engineering, operations, construction, customer service, capital projects, and operations and maintenance. Doug also has experience in gas distribution franchise and rate case work, collective bargaining and arbitration, contract negotiations, and labor relations issues. He has evaluated and reviewed potential acquisitions of gas utility properties, worked in team environments on issues such as process improvement, risk assessments, sales and marketing, and customer service. Doug received a B.S. in Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria.

   

John R. Dunn
Vice President, Business Development

John Dunn was appointed Vice President, Business Development, in April 2009. He has also served as Director of Houston Operations since September 2007. John has worked in the oil & gas engineering and construction services industry for 44 years, and has held positions in design engineering, project management, department and division management, sales and marketing, and business development management. John received a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
