Our office in Charleston, West Virginia has become the “Gateway to the Northeast” for EMS projects in the Marcellus Shale region; eastern Kentucky through West Virginia, eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania , and into south central New York. This strategic location allows EMS to maintain close contact and communication with our clients and on-going projects in the region. EMS’ experience gained on projects throughout Appalachia has provided significant value to our clients with Marcellus Shale projects.
EMS has long employed the philosophy of establishing local project field offices to provide full project execution capabilities to our clients, as close to our client’s operations as possible.

Following this tradition, a local project office was opened in the Horseheads, New York area, with the objective of better serving our clients active in the Pennsylvania and New York regions of the Marcellus Shale play. A subsequent field office was opened in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Additional satellite offices will be opened as project activity grows.
EMS has monitored production activities and subsequent needs of our clients for several years in this challenging, but potentially very rewarding region. We engineer and design the traditional components of midstream and mainstream piping and equipment systems to transfer, treat, process, and transport the natural gas from this area. EMS also has capabilities to analyze liquid handling needs of fracing fluids, environmental needs of the overall process, sequestration , and handling processes of alternate fracing methods such as CO2. EMS also evaluates project financing needs and will assist with location of available investment funds, for those clients requiring this service.
EMS currently has projects and ongoing development activities in each of these areas, all as a part of our single source capabilities. Recent projects in the region include production gathering systems, pipelines, compression, and process facilities. EMS has also provided pipeline routing, environmental guidance, survey, drafting, quality control, compression , and facility design. We welcome the opportunity to provide these services to all operators in this important region.
