Welcome Back!
We want to welcome you back for the fourth issue of the EMS Newsletter. By publishing this newsletter, we hope that you will remember our capabilities and consider EMS the next time you have a natural gas project. Our capabilities cover the spectrum of the industry. We have completed projects in all areas of moving and delivering natural gas. We even work on the liquid side. We have the resources to support your project!

An EMS Affiliate is Formed
In August 2006, EMS formed an affiliate known as EMS QUALITY CONTROL, LLC (EMSQC). The purpose of this stand-alone, fully insured, service company will be to provide construction inspection and construction support personnel to those clients in the industry for which EMS does not provide the engineering expertise.
EMSQC is managed by Shane Honn, President; David Bennett, Vice President of Operations; and Mary Smith, Vice President of Administration. Corporate headquarters is located in Versailles, KY, and an operations office is located in Baytown, Texas. The website for EMSQC is www.emsqc.com.
EMSQC is a professional quality control services company committed to meeting the highest standards of the oil and gas industry. Its mission will be to become the "Provider of Choice" by contributing knowledgeable, professional, well trained and safety conscious personnel who will continuously exceed the expectations of its Clients. EMSQC will further be committed to establishing long term relationships with its Clients and personnel by developing a culture of adhering to the highest ethical standards in all of its business relationships.
EMSQC has information on many quality control personnel. To add to its cadre of existing personnel, EMSQC is actively seeking resumes from potential quality control personnel interested in working on industry projects; including stations, plants, and pipelines.

EMSQC Awarded Project
EMS Quality Control, LLC (EMSQC), working with EMS, has been awarded the inspection of Equitable's Big Sandy Pipeline project slated to begin later this winter. The project involves approximately 60 miles of 20" pipeline and associated facilities and interconnect stations. This project is expected to last approximately seven months. Quality Control personnel interested in applying for positions on this project may contact Shane Honn at shanehonn@emsqc.com, or David Bennett at davidbennett@emsqc.com.
EMS Lands Compression Projects
EMS has learned that it has been awarded eight compressor projects involving the design, facility modification and addition of a total of 18,000 BHP by Chesapeake Energy. This work is expected to be performed during the first three quarters of 2007. Steve Roberts is the Project Director.
EMS Continues for Texas Gas
EMS continues to select route and survey on approximately 95 miles of pipeline near Yazoo City, Mississippi. Alignment drafting and facility design will follow. Duane Haines is the Project Manager.
Cinergy Issues More Cast Iron Replacement Modules
The Cinergy Corporation (Duke Energy) proceeds with its planned cast iron replacement program by awarding EMS 6 new modules which involve approximately 22 miles of pipe in their existing distribution system. EMS has been involved in Cinergy's program for approximately three years. Brian Potter is the Senior Engineer Technician.
EMS Continues on Straight Creek Project
EMS continues to provide Project Management, Engineering, Survey, Right-of-Way, and Drafting expertise on Atmos' Straight Creek Pipeline Project, which is comprised of approximately 60 miles of 24" mainline and 12 miles of lateral line. Robert McFadden is the Project Manager, assisted by Jason Watkins.
EMS Awarded Work on Chesapeake's Jurisdictional Gathering Pipelines
EMS has begun work on the survey and data collection for a number of jurisdictional sections of gathering pipelines for Chesapeake Energy in eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia and western Virginia. This work began in November and is expected to continue through the first quarter of 2007. It is headed up by Mike Harper. Randall Polly is providing the GIS expertise.
