If employees are to work free of accidents, they must know the hazards involved. They must know the safe procedures to follow to work safely. Government regulations require training on specific hazards and types of equipment. EMS requires that employees be thoroughly trained in what they need to know to work safely; be given knowledge of the hazards associated with their work; have safety rules and regulations explained to them; and be instructed in recommended safe job procedures.
